- yes, to the £10 cost, but I have no idea what the rest of your question is
- the application form you filled in clearly stated badge fee is £10.00 [refunded in the event of the application being unsuccessful]
- so the money should have been paid by yourself at the point of submitting the application form
Is that what you meant to say ,,, that you forgot to enclose the £10 fee ?Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion. We hadn`t to send money with the form..just photo( new rules by County hall) What I meant was that previously payment could be done any way suitable, what happens if applicant doesn`t have a card?0

Thanks for that carlislelass, both the organisational and the personal application both clearly state £10. Strange they have that rule on 'do not enclose' I assume its particular to a problem in your area for whatever reason.
I should have added that the 'do not enclose' rule usually only applies to those areas where they make payment due on collection should the application be successful.
if applicant doesn't have a card then I suppose they are going to have to physically go into or send into the office the remittance. I agree with you its a messy and unnecessarily expensive and slow to administer system .. .. a bit of a mess for 2012 and the new card system. I assume you are being given an old style Blue Badge, and that Carlisle are not up to speed with the new URL="https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3087090"]see #32[/URL National Blue Badge Scheme.Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion. We don`t live in carlisle, and it`s a new type badge0 -
So where do you live and what did the application form stipulate with regards to the payment? We could go on guessing forever but I'm sure that the actual application form would have had details about the expected payment and the options to do so?carlislelass wrote: »We don`t live in carlisle, and it`s a new type badge0 -
I know that my sister's friend took her disabled mother to the council offices to give in her application, but payment was refused. They were told that Mother would receive a phone call asking her to pay by debit or credit card IF her application was successful.
I don't know which LA this was. I know that my sister's friend was less than impressed at the idea of her mother being asked to give credit card details over the phone. Hopefully they have other methods of contacting people, and take note of comments like "I cannot hear to use the phone, please do not call me" which my mother puts on all such forms! Sadly, too many organisations ignore such comments.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

Thanx, that`s what I was trying to explain0 -
We renewed a Blue Badge in April. --- No charge.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0

It would still have been nice to know which council area placed this restriction, I wasn't asking for a postcode and house number. There seems to be a big discrepancy in the way charges are applied across the land. My local council happens to be Leeds City Council and there is zero charge from them.0
