Rainy day play for high energy dog!

Tyson is flat out refusing to go outside in the rain today, and so it using up his energy re-arranging my living room instead :(

Any ideas for rainy day play games for him?

So far he has chased and caught most flies and spiders in the house (I make him earn his keep!). We have had a game of 'dog with soggy tennis ball V mum' which he won. He has had his breakfast in his kong. We have tugged with his (used to be mine ) pair of socks. He has plumped up my sofa cushions for me. Now we are doing some karaoke.

I need some quieter, less destructive ideas for games to play!

How about teaching him to chill out?

Mine are the same and they've been out for 30mins for a walk!
They are like naughty bored toddlers.

At the moment one is taking everything out of the toy box and rearranging it around the house and the other one is cleaning the kitchen floor with his tongue (I do feed them!).

He will chill out later, he just has to get rid of his morning (and evening) burst of energy.

He is from a line of working dogs and so likes to be kept active, either physically or mentally.

Ooh send him round here Woofer, my floor needs doing too!

Maybe I could train Tyson to do housework for me...

He has got his training class later so might do a bit of practice for that soon once he has had his mad half hour

do you have an xbox or wii or something like that. I have been dancing to the black eyed peas today and one of my dogs is jumping about with me to the extent it keeps showing him up as another player.

It isn't raining where I live so we had a long walk this morning and are chilling this afternoon.

The dog will soon forget its raining once out. Police dogs, guide dogs etc dont get to stay in just because its raining!
