Hi, is it possible to transfer money from my paypal account to my sons bank account. I have got his bank details but when I go to add bank account it will not let me change the surname. It would be much easier if i could transfer it directly to his account rather than pay it into mine then send him a cheque.
many thanks

It sounds like it won't let you pay to an account in someone else's name. When you think about it, this makes sense... otherwise a hacker could easily empty out a paypal account!
Why not pay it into yours and then set up a bank transfer to your son's account?
Bear in mind you'll be charged a small fee if the amount is under £50. (By paypal that is, not the bank)My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

You could always go into your paypal account and select pay a person and stick in you sons details, the fees are about the same for withdrawing your money.Total Wins 2011: Zilch

Doesn't matter about the surname on the bank transfer.
I have a business Paypal acc in my business name
& I have my business & personal bank acc's listed on Paypal
When I withdrawal funds into my personal acc its shows the acc name as the business but i still get the funds0
