M&S &More Card

Options
Last week I was accepted for the M&S &More Card, the agreement arrived in the post this morning.

There is no mention of any credit limit, but it states in the T&C's 'Charge for Credit' being £276.88.

I have looked up the chart that was posted on the site sometime ago, and that states that my credit limit should be somewhere in the region of £3K.

I seem to re-call seeing/reading that M&S allow an extra £1K when activating the card if doing a B/T, can anyone confirm this.

Many thanks

The T&Cs refer to a standard APR and cost of borrowing a set amount.
Nothing to do with your individual limit :D

Credit limit appears on the letter that the card is attached to on the top right.

Rather than starting a new thread, I have one of these on the way, what's the best way of getting a loan onto this card?

I have a normal egg card and the loan is with egg (£1800), could I put my egg card into a positive balance and pay off the loan with the egg card?

I have had a look at the egg t&cs and its not entirely clear if this can or cant be done.
  • I've got a limit of 2K on the M&S card; tried on activation and on the first (minimum) payment by phone to up it with 50% - unsuccessful. However, when on the second payment by phone told them that I am planning to do a bank transfer but have used all the available credit, they've given me additional 1K - and I am filling it with purchases;)

I have a fairly decent amount of credit given by M&S card. They also offer 3.9% for life for balance transfer.
I don't have any big balances on any other cards, but I would like to use this to pay off some off my mortgage as the morgage rate is a lot higher than 3.9%. But M&S say they can only transfer to credit card, not bank a/c.

Is there any clever way to do this.

Please help me. I am fairly new to this.
    Many thanks

...buy travellers cheques from M&S travel money and then cash them back (1% fee?). I have not done it myself but judging by the posts here and on the stoozing site a lot of other money savvy customers have done it - do a search for the travellers cheques loophole and good luck w the mortgage repayments
