downstairs toilet sink minus a plinth

Hi, the house I have has a downstairs loo (godsend when you have visitors etc) but the builders never put in a plinth (I did ask about this all the houses are the same). So it just a small basin attached to the wall with the ugly pipework visible below. Can anyone suggest a cheap solution to box in these pipes? Something maybe even functional? I've looked at the B&Q website but they want nearly 100 quid for plinths.
I'm ok at following plans and putting stuff together. I have a garage full of tool and some nice pine left over from when I had a new loft hatch built. Is there anyone that can suggest anything or is there a website with plans that I could build something out of the wood I have?
All suggestions welcome.

we boxed-in using some 2x2 timber, a sheet of MDF and then tiles it to match the rest of the bathroom0

How do you allow for the curvature of the sink?CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0

B&Q do cheaper plinths cause we got one when the plinth they sold us with their bathroom suite was no use for us. (It was one of these half type ones and our pipework went down into the floor).0

Really don't want to spend any money at all. Have aload of nice wood in the garage so would like to do something with that. Does anyone know how I'd get round the problem of the curvature of the sink?CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Decide on the size of box and make it an inch or so lower than the bottom of the sink then project that profile on to the bottom of the sink and make a template out of cardboard that reprsents the space between them ( a front and two sides )and then transfer the shape onto your finishing material and fix to the top of the box you have made . Just remember , if you have not made a perfect fit between them none of your guests will be on their hands and knees looking as the under side is not realy visible and faults only niggle those who know they are there. I hope you will leave some provision for maintenance to taps and trap in you fabrication but the box could be made as a slide in slide out construction for this purpose.
