Student Car insurance

Hi, I'm a 19 year old student looking to insure a car, I've not yet passed my test but want to learn in a car of my own, I know this is going to make insurance expensive, but I hope to pass before September and participate in my pass plus at that point to bring down the cost of insurance. Does anyone know where I could get cheap car insurance for a driver without a license, of course I would put someone with a license as second driver since they will accompany me wherever I go.
Thanks in advance
Chall
p.s. please ignore the company car insurance thread since I originally asked that but a number of people chose to point out that this would be fraud as I would be the main driver not my father.
Thanks in advance

You dont need to add anyone else to the policy as only the driver must be insured not also the accompanying driver - that said and done it would potentially lower your premiums and secondly be a sensible option if you get yourself in a state/ problem and the other driver needs to take over.
Being a provisional licence holder generally is actually cheaper than a newly qualified driver. All posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

If you're at university or college and have an NUS (National Union of Students) card, make sure to call/speak to Endsleigh Insurance. They are affiliated to NUS and offer a sizable discount (30% last I heard) for NUS members.
Having said that, make sure you shop around. One year, Tesco insurance trumped Endsleigh by about £20 because they had a special offer on.New Year's Resolution: _party_
