Unoccupied property insurance

Hi,
I've recently moved into a new house and my old property will be unoccupied pending sale. It's only a couple of miles away, so I can visit regularly but I want a comprehensive cover which will protect me from most things. Can anyone recommend a good provider? I don't need contents insurance as it's empty.
Thanks
M

Speak to the existing Insurers about what cover they can provide. Normally there will be exclusions after 30 days of unoccupancy.. e.g theft, escape of water. But you may be able to negotiate better cover, subject to certain terms and conditions.
If you buy specific unoccupied property cover, it will probably be more expensive. Try Home Protect. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0 -
You won't get a full policy IMO - the fact that you will be visiting regularly will be in your favour but fire and flood is standard cover for an unoccupied home.0
