8 Year old debt, how can I stop it? HELP!

    From what I understand, GAIN can only hold information for up to six years.

    Post on the debt free wanabee boards, if you continue to get phonecalls and letter.

    There are templated letters on this site, which you can send to them and many users on the debt free wanabee board who can assist you.

    Overall the debt still exists and is owed but they cannot force you to pay it.

    Thank you for those tips, much appreciated.

    I didn't actually know about this debt which is even more worrying as it didn't show up on the Credit Report...

    I'm hoping to apply for a Mortgage soon so wanted to make sure I had a good rating, looks like I opened a can of worms instead :/
