insurance renewal cost

just checked my phone bill and found the phone charge to renew house insurance is 10 pence per min!.. this from a number RIAS put on their renewal notice.
They then take 40 mins to sort me out having put me on hold 3 times!!! cost £3.59. guess i just thought I would pay normal phone charge, silly me.
nice one RIAS guess where i will be going next year.

Use the 0800 number on their website?

They provide an 0845 number on their renewal notice. The fact that you paid 10p a minute is more to do with your choice of phone provider, many packages include 0845 numbers in the inclusive calls.0
