Morgan Stanley cashback ??

Several weeks ago I applied for a MORGAN STANLEY platinum credit card. I did this through GREASYPALM cashback site inorder to get £12.50 as cashback. No record of my transaction ever appeared on my Greasy palm account, even though my shiny new MORGAN STANLEY card promtly arrived. Knowing how difficult it is to get info from Greasypalm, and knowing that they respond by saying that they can't pay out until the retailer / bank pays them, I contacted Morgan Stanley to enquire about my £12.50. I was absolutely astonished when Morgan Stanley informed me that they don't pay Greasypalm for putting me in touch, but that Greasypalm pay me "off their own back".
ie. that a company pays out £12.50 for no financial gain ???
Has anyone else had this nonsence from MORGAN STANLEY ? and can anyone offer me some advice please.
