Groupon offered a "Full Boiler Service (£34) With Full Central Heating Inspection (£44) from Every Gas Limited (Up to 88% Off)"

Having sent emails, attempted to leave voice mail messages only to find their mailbox full for over two weeks and having no response it seems I have been scammed for the second time via Groupon offers.

If an offer seems too good to be true it usually is. They are I imagine a small outfit and simply don't have the ability to meet the groupon's.

Also Groupon is usually a terrible deal for the advertiser - in this case of the £34, they'll get £17 - don't know about you, but the idea of driving all over the shop to service boilers for £17 a pop wouldn't motivate me to get up, especially when there is no repeat business to speak of. Company shouldn't have offered the deal, groupon shouldn't have promoted it without seeing they had capacity to fulfil the deals.

Just heard from Groupon, apparently Every Gas Limited due to a technical error the phone line went straight to the recorded message rather than ringing. Ok maybe for a couple of day's not two weeks, we shall see next week. However I agree with paddyrg comments!

I took this offer last month and booked my appointment for Monday 18 July. Tried phoning last week to confirm visit but no answer, no returned call and no reply to texts. Monday comes and goes and no visit and of course I still can not get through to the company. Groupon say there system shows the voucher was used so need to contact the company to confirm it wasnt, I said good luck with that.

Has this happened to thers and what action have people taken?

Only thing that seems to motivate Groupon is a charge back on your credit card.
