Egg credit card - availability of site?

in Credit cards
I have tried to log on to my egg credit card today and the site is down. It was also down last week when I tried once and on average has been down once a week in the month I have had the card.
Is it generally as regular an occurence as this? I have had a goldfish card before and seldom had these downtime problems.

I have just logged into my account successfully. I have noticed it down on odd occasions but usually for just a short time (15 minutes).

I've only ever failed to get into it once, and I've had an Egg card for years.0

It is a little known fact that the power for their servers is provided by a hampster in a wheel and obviously it needs a rest now and then!0 -
Thanks all, I wonder if I just manage to sign in when they do some of the maintenance as it tends to be about 6 in the morning each time.MFIT No. 810

The site goes down every night about 3 in the morning while they do the overninght account updates, I don't know what time it comes back up again because I'm always asleep!
It's very rare I have had problems accessing the site outside these times.Jostick wrote:It is a little known fact that the power for their servers is provided by a hampster in a wheel and obviously it needs a rest now and then!
Is it the same hamster as the mse forum hamster?0 -
I have had troubles with the egg site but only recently as they did some big upgrade.
I could not log in and several long phone calls- well skype calls- later, it turns out the site now does not recognise my postal code. It worked fine before the site was upgraded, and they told me they were working hard to resolve it. Mainly it affects those with a BFPO postal code or other non standard UK code....Pigsback= £34.90

It can’t be a hamster, the guinea pig’s would be in uproar!
The site seems to be permanently down in the early hours of the morning. For some reason, that’s when I always want to check my account0
