morning all!
weekend off:j but back to work as usual Monday.
Wet here. Those 2 lovely dogs of mine have been out digging in the mud and have walked it in and out of the kitchen while I was upstairs(reading my book and having a cuppa in bed) grrr - have cleaned it up and shut the door to stop them doing it again straight away.
I've hoovered through the house except DS's room that is a pigs sty - he's at his gf's.
WM is on but it will have to be hung inside.
We're off to collect DS later and will pop into a local chain of supermarkets that has its own pound isle which DH loves to have a browse round.
I've a painting I want to finish this morning.
Jools - good luck to DS in his interview!
Hester - hope you have a relaxing weekend after your hectic week x
(((hugs))) to those feeling poorly

Morning all. I'm so... tired and cranky
the electric kettle broke as I went to make a coffee and I had a mini breakdown waiting for it to boil on the hob. It's jubilee weekend but I'm not too fussed, not exactly patriotic. Me and OH are making the most of the long bank holiday to move into our new flat and simultaneously avoiding the pants tv
I can't wait to explore the countryside around the town and do some foraging, if there's not much then we'll go nearer OH's old place. We see people shooting rabbits, pheasants, deer but not sure about the legality of it all and asking farmers about doing it on their fields.
hester you need a break, as usual, please have a good relaxing weekend
wuvvies can't you make her take a different route home? even if it involves 3 buses and takes 4 hours, might teach her something. or say you're taking the petrol money out of her allowance and there will be no $$$ abercrombie clothes?Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -

could you make a flask to save you having to keep boiling water on the hob and to prevent another mini breakdown
i have to say i am patriotic , i love the queen and think the royal family is one of the few things left that makes us British . i watched the documentary about Prince Charles last night i really enjoyed that.
taken DD1 to work this morning and picked up some fruit and cream while i was out.
2nd load of washing in and 1st lot on the line . just had my breakfast ( bacon and haloumi- delish) and then when ive finished surfing im going to tackle the iron mountain

Morning ladies, not long got home. The house survived the party:j:j
They had washed all the glasses, plates etc and picked up any mess that they had made and were just sitting down to bacon rolls when I walked in. Neighbour did txt me at about half nine to say that there was no problems during the party and that the music was tuned down at 12 and by 2 the party had wrapped up. So happy that they didn't abuse my trust.
So wm , dw on waiting for tesco delivery as havent been proper shopping for ages (it feels like)
No need for housework today , its damp and miserable out today, lots of things going on in town for the jubilee. May take a wander down later.
Hope you all have a lovely long weekend:)Paul Walker , in my dreams;)0 -
Afternoon!
Been out since 7am. Got DD and took her to work, collected DGD after MIL decided that she was going to Derby. The times she has let DD down, and SIL won't say anything. Guess who had to step in again?
DGD was so good though. We had to go back to OH's place as he broke his glasses, and had no spares at mine. DGD was lovely, sat and looked out of the window all the way. Took her to the swings and see the sea, then came home, when she slept all the way:A \what a star.
Asparagus and prawn pasta for dinner tonight.
Going to a garden party Monday, so had my nails done yesterday. Had them done bright blue with a union jack painted on my thumbs:rotfl:
Had loads of comments, everyone loves them!
I am healing now, although bruises are still appearing in strange places:rotfl: Thanks for all your messages.
There are some nasty comments on Martin's FB page, but I say Good on him, who wouldn't accept £85 million? I would!
Enjoy the rest of today.I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Afternoon Hester (and all).
Late posting today as my day is somewhat upside down.
The mens full english breakfast actually ended up as dinner and no doubt i will be doing tea late tonight.
Where has the sunshine gone? its tipping down here and ive had to tumble dry my washing (which has gone against the grain somewhat).
Ive been out shopping. I got the dreaded lecture last week when i spent too much on groceries so ive been a bit more controlled this week.
Hope your all having a lovely dayThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
