Whether the policy is good value or not, it is what it is. Bupa warned the OP about the limit, its not their fault its been breached. Even the OP doesn't feel this is Bupa's fault.
If you're going to guess, then don't comment. A little knowledge can be dangerous, epsecially when we are talking peoples livelihoods. I've got Bupa insurance through work which we've had for the last few years. It covers my son and I. I recently applied for authorisation for my son on a minor op. What a nightmare it turned out to be. The trouble I've had trying to get them to pay for anything has been horrendous. The advisor kept using the words "If it's for a child we have to cover ourselves against consultants over charges etc". The Op is being carried out in a BUPA recognised Hospital with a BUPA recognised consultant but still they refuse to cover the full cost??? Looking at the documents I was given on joining clearly state that aneasthetists cost are covered in full. However, the advisors come back with "sorry that's for adults only" However, I can't find any refererence in the documents refering to different cover for kids.:mad::mad:
BUPA cover for me has so far been extremely poor!!:mad:0
