CC refund on frozen account....

Are there any hard and fast rules about cc refunds? Can u have a refund on a card that u didn't buy the goods with?
I bought a car part last week from a Peugeot garage, but when the mechanic came to fit it, it was the wrong one, so I'm taking it back tomorrow to get a refund.... The trouble is, the cc I bought it with has been suspended due to fraudulent transactions appearing on my account. Can I get my refund onto another card, or do I have to wait til the new card for that account comes, and do it that way?
Help, I have £75 + dodgy brakes!!! Thanx

I think you need to get some advice from your card provider.
I was in a similar situation once when I had cancelled my Barclaycard and then needed a refund on it. The merchant would not refund by any other means. When I called Barclaycard they were really good about it temporarily re-opened the account until I got the refund then transfered it to my bank account and closed it again.0 -
