where to buy laptop a battery?

I need a new battery for my Advent laptop. Looking up Advent
sends me to PCworld but they dont have one for this
model. I bought one from a "UK" online shop, but it came from
HongKong & didnt work, they replaced it - still didnt work,
asked for a refund, sent it back, never heard from them again despite about 20 emails from me!
I dont want to get stung again but all the online shops seem
to be based in China, does anyone know where else I could
get a battery? or of an online shop that is honest?
(am I allowed to name & shame the place that ripped me off?)

I use powercell-uk on Ebay. Not the cheapest but never had an issue. They're also a bricks and mortar business in Nottingham I've collected from in the past.0
