Help!! BPO collections

Can anyone help??

I was paying Scott+co until last month then I got a call from BPO saying they had taken over. I'm now paying them.

I got a letter today from Scott+co today to say they are taking me to court for not paying them, I've been charged an arrestment fee of £25.00 and a court order of £85.46 both of which have been taken out of my bank account.

I'm really angry and confused, who is actually dealing with GCC Council Tax Arrears???

    Hi,

    Have Scott+co confirmed that they passed on the debt? I would write to them, signed for, asking who owns the debt.

    I would also do the same to BPO, as one is lying or has screwed up. Do you have teh details of who you spoke to?

    How did they take the money from your account, card or DD?

    Never pay anyone anything on the strength of a phone call. For all you know, it could be a set up to make you fail on your arrangement with Scott. Always get it in writing. Right now, I guess you are finding it difficult to prove that BPO did call.

    Today I returned from a week in hospital to a threatening letter from bpo saying that I owe GCC £266.68

    I'm really confused since I haven't lived in Glasgow since 2009? Has anybody else had this issue?
