Keep your money safe by not putting more than the £85K FSCS compensation limit in any one bank.
You'll need a minimum of 1,024 accounts with different institutions. A few more if you want to keep the interest safe too.
Or just 512 accounts with £170K protection shared between you and a spouse in joint accounts. But if you are recently married, how about a post-nup agreement before taking the sale proceeds?0 -
Make sure you open plenty of savings accounts with different institutions so that you are covered by the Financial Services Compansation Scheme.
I once knew of a self styled 'money saving expert' that used to recommend that every time he appeared on TV, he also had quite a successful website which he sold to a large publicly traded company.
His same escapes me just at the momentInterests: PCs. servers, networks, mobiles and music (esp. trance)0
