Cooker - length of cable question?

We're sprucing up our kitchen in the coming months and will be putting in new worktops. As part of the refurb we want to move the cooker from its current position to where the washing machine is, and put the washer where the cooker is.
Is there any regulation on the maximum length of electrical cable from the cooker to the connection point?
I estimate the length of cable would have to be about 2/2.5 meters without moving the connection point.

There is a calculation that electricians use for voltage drop over the length if a cable. But 3 metres isn't worth worrying about. I'msure an lectrician will be along toe plain this!Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Although what you are doing sounds possible, how easy would it be to disconnect the cooker from the existing point. I would suggest extending the cable to a new cooker connection unit so it would be a simple job to remove the oven in future.0

The only regulations you need to worry about are Part P of the building Regulations which means changes to wiring in the kichen need to be inspected by the local authority - unless an electrician who can self certify does the work (which as you're asking the question I guess you're not)0

The cooker isolator has to be within 2m of the cooker.0
