Can anyone identify the problem? Steam shower going hot and cold?

Hi, we have a steam shower we are trying to sell, but think there is something wrong that we need to fix first. It is this shower: http://www.shower-cubicle.co.uk/bermuda-quad-steam-shower-cubicle-900x900.html
which my partner thinks heats it own water, but sometimes the shower can be boiling hot, and other times luke warm and you can't get the temperature to increase.
The shower was here when we moved in, and the number for it isnt any good as they say they only supplied, can't help with any problems. I will try and call some suppliers to see if they know of a helpline for it, but has anyone got any ideas what the problem could be?

Its obviously a faulty something in the thermostatic or heating arrangements. Surprised that your partner only "thinks" it heats its own water when the link you posted clearly says it does. Did you ask the non working uncooperative number who they use/recommend to install/maintain these things. Someone like that is who you need.

It needs a hot and cold feed, and only heats the water to make the steam. It sounds more like the thermostat as a first guess, but could be the controller.0

Ive got some numbers to call today, the shower was here when we moved in which is why we don't know much about it, we have an installation manual but doesn't tell you what to do about any problems.
You can control the temperature wither by a manual tap or on the control panel but they both seem to work randomly one minute and not the next - I thought origionally maybe it was a fault in our tank etc. as our water in the bath can be hot one morning and not the next, but if the shower controls its own temperature then it wouldn't be this would it?
Will report back if we find the issue

So are you saying it only heats the steam? We don't use that part, so maybe it is our temperature problem from the hot water tank ........0 -
It uses hot water as well as cold. If the bath is doing the same, it would suggest your hot water needs looking at first.0

Ahh yet another thread where pertinent data is left out. Please describe the DHW system in your place in some detail and also provide information as to the problems you are experiencing. The shower problem is starting to sound like a red herring.

ha ha, I don't really know anything about showers/heating/hot water, only piecing together what I have heard my OH say lol.
Basically the bath does the same thing, 730am one morning you can get a full hot bath, 730am the next morning its luke warm and yet nothing different has happened. My OH led me to believe they were different problems because he said/thought the shower should heat its own water so even if the water going in was cold or boiling, the shower should adjust the temperature itself, so therefore the two were un-related problems.
Anyway we have been recommended to try a new belt or something for the tank to see if that solves the bath water issue, and therefore the shower issue too. If it solves just the bath water issue then the shower is something different. If it solves neither then we are back to square one!
Like I say, we never bought the shower and the technical helpline number on the manual no longer works so we are left to looking online for an in sight to the shower and possible problems.0 -
