So i went to checkout on asda all went fine checked they took £1 to veirfy i said ok.
But now i've amended the order and they seem to have taking another £1.
Is this normal for them to keep taking £1 everytime u change something or place an order.

MOVING THREADS FOR BETTER RESPONSES
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.0 -
?????
this person was simply asking a question about Asda online shopping. Why on earth would you move it to the Vents & Warnings board <shakes head>0 -
They take £1 in order to do a sort of credit check to see if you are the account holder but the £1 is REFUNDED to you after a couple of days.
Quite often credit checks will fail if the is no money in the account as the company you are buying from will be unable to debit any money as the is none in the account.
As you amended the order after submitting it,it could be the first £1 hadn't cleared into the payment system by the time the ammended order went in,hence the second £1.
But you WILL get that £2 back into your bank account in a few days.
(That was the case at the supermarket online delivery in-store depot I worked at as well as when I worked for O2 in direct sales)0 -
