Motorcycle Insurance

Hello all,

I have a couple of questions about motorbike insurance:

Firstly, I keep my bike in a locked shed at the side of my house - what category would this come under in the 'where is the vehicle kept' question?

Also, I have had an accident (single vehicle, my fault) in my car a few months ago for which I made a claim - does this have to be stated as a claim? Bennetts explicitly state that you do, but are there other insurers who wouldn't count this?

Generally, you'll need to say you've had a claim. It's a good scam for insurers. Your no claims can't be swapped from car to bike and vice versa but your claims all count against both.

Regarding the shed, if you can fit additional secuirty, like an alarm or have the bike datatagged etc, that will all help. I keep mine in a shed and the insurance company have always been happy it is out of sight and not in the driveway on the front.

Just need to have a few conversions and see what comes back.
