could anyone advise at to a decent hedge trimmer at a reasonable price I have seen one advertised in the sun paper on the screwfix website
http://www.screwfix.com/p/mountfield-mhj2424-61cm-petrol-hedge-trimmer-24-5cc/51775?_requestid=1303858
but have no idea if it would be decent quality it's reduced from £199.99 to £129.99 could anyone tell me if this would be a good purchase or not, I'm fed up of cutting the cord on my electric trimmer and I don't want a rechargeable.Any advice appreciated, even cheaper than this would be great I'm on a tight budget.

looks pretty good for the money... i have owned very cheap ones before and they can almost shake your arms off with the vibration and be very tiring to use. i use stihl ones now but i don't think you will go far wrong with that one from screwfix

I'd not get anything short of Sthil/Husqvarna in petrol tools, you're spending quite a bit so I like to be able to fix the thing if anything breaks. With Stihl, you'll always be able to get spares, new blades etc.

I've never cut through the cord, you just need the right technique. I loop the cable through my belt and bring it in from behind me. That way, there isn't a loop to cut through.
