Mondeo rear wheel bearing
I had my car serviced in Feb and one thing mentioned was the rear wheelbearing was on its way out. Noise is now getting very noticeable so time to change
I can find one on Ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-MONDEO-MK3-REAR-WHEEL-BEARING-HUB-2000-2006-NEW-/120591105564?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=bin1c13ca3e1c
for £64 and on Euro car parts a kit comes in at £95
Looking on here its only an hours labour for my local garage (not a spanner man at all me) so if they can supply and fit for £150 then that would be about right?
Also needs 2 new rear tyres (current ones are cracked) so all in reckon on £300, do you think this is about right? car is on 17" wheels at the moment

If you supply the part and they fit it, It maybe cheaper.
But if that part fails within 12 months you have to pay the garage to remove it and fit a new one.
Garage wont want to wait for you to send the failed part back then get it inspected and a new one sent out.
Fitting it yourself or a mate then go ahead. Paying the garage to fit it then get them to supply and fit. Any faulty parts are down to them.
Tyres. Depends if you want tyres that grip or tyres that are cheap?
Avoid chinese rubbish. I had some Admiral? They wore well but totally useless in the wet. I was glad when they wore out.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
