how long for ESA payment today

I just booked app at jobcentre to fax through my med cert for a new ESA claim. The app is 2.45pm and they said if early enough i will recieve chaps payment. How long will it take or will i have missed it due to the time? Also what if i Dont get today, wen wil i get it cos its like a super long bank hol weekend until next wed? Ps. Its to go into post office account

If this is a fresh claim, you will normally have three 'waiting days' at the beginning of a claim, during which you would not be paid.
Have you already submitted a ESA50 form?
When did you make the claim?
From memory, it took around 14 days from the time I made a call to ESA, till I got payment.

I made this claim 2 month ago. I have to fax through my med cert to say my condition has worsened.

Well - if you were told that by the people on the phone, I guess it's not impossible.

I was actually more curious about this weekend with mon and tues being bank hols. Like for eg, if they released a normal payment today (fri) when would i actually get it cos 3 work days would mean the next monday after bank hol which is like 10days away? And what if my payment is not released til wed after bank hol, does that mean id get paid the tue after? Basically how will the extra bank hol affect payments?
