This seems too good to be true, has anyone found any negative points with transferring to simplystockbroking?

Thanks for sharing your findings adamt.

I considering transferring my share holdings to either SimplyStockbroking or x-o. As far as I can tell, the only real differences are:
    - Transaction fees: £5.95 for x-o, £8.00 for SS
    - Dividend reinvestment: N/A for x-o, £0.25-£1.00 for SS
    - Account closure fees: £60 for x-o, none for SS

Am I missing anything? Anything comments from current users?

SVS Securities £5.95 per trade and no charges. Can also put your ISA in there.

I discounted SVS because, unless I am mistaken, they only allow trading of FTSE350 shares.

I'm moving to Hargreaves Lansdown to buy only funds in their ISA (no admin fee)... I have just one line of shares so I'm just going to use their share account until I sell that even though their dealing charges are £12.50 or so. Want to keep things 'contained'.

SVS have got a £10 corporate action fee. Not too keen on that, especially if Lloyds Banking Group "do an RBS" and consolidate 10-1 say. Plus Stagecoach are quite fond of special dividends/share buybacks.

X-O looks a bit "clunky" on the deposit/withdrawal side, but no mention of Corporate Action charges.

Simply stockbroking slice 10% (max £1) on dividends and cash from Corporate Actions.

Can anybody suggest a broker with a decent mobile platform.

I like shareprice but obviously the fact they are part of iii puts me off.

Their association with Interactive Investor would be enough to put me off. I can't comment on the quality of their service, but I notice TradersOwn have a iPhone app if that's what you're after:

xo is fine. HL is good for funds but Dunston said they have not altered fees ready for 2013 RDR which means you dont know what they will do yet but they have to do something different.

Ideally they just give us all the trial commission right back and change nothing else, not likely :p
