Basically hubby and me cant afford a house as the house market has gone sky high, to stay in our village the cheapest house is £250,000 on an estate!
Anyway we've decided now to buy a rough cast mobile thing, and one has come up for sale at £30,000 so my mum was gonna see if she could get a loan for us (we cant get one due to having nothing really going into our bank accounts as ive just gone back to work after maternity and hubby has his own business and not earning a lot)
We cant get a mortgage as its not a permanent home and my mum has been to bank and they can only give her £25,000
is there anyway of getting more than £25,000 without paying over the odds
please help, i need a house

Does you mum work?
Does she own her own house?
If so is it mortgaged?
Please advise

its worth over 300,000
and the mortgage theyve just got is for 50,0000 -
From the information supplied, your parents could easily raise the £33,000 by remortgaging their existing farm.
Regards

You seem to be £8,000 short. Why not try making a £25,000 offer for the rough cast mobile thing, and see what they say.
You have certainly nothing to lose.

Will this rough cast mobile thing, go up in value? or will it depreciate over time like a car? Surely it would have worked out cheaper and a lot better in the long run that they build a house next door to your brother for you? Seems unfair to me.

Our plan was to build a house but a new law was passed in ireland last year without warning that no more single dwellings are allowed to be built in the countryside!
my brother has tried to raise the mortgage now but the bank wont raise it due to my dads age, they say hes too old, in fairness hes 70 this year!
Think im gonna have to give up!
we cant get a mortgage now either as im on a temp contract and am only just back to work so cant provide 6 months payslips
ARRRGGGHHHHH, we need a home0 -
Which part of Ireland?
If the North there are lenders that will consider your dad regardless of his age
