Well, I have finally moved onto Fibre Broadband after calculating that the cost-benefit is in my favour and there's no point sticking with o2, who have zero budget to introduce Fibre, despite what they personally say.
Been given a poxy Netgear WNR1000 which is a cable router as opposed to an ADSL one, and as a result, I cannot use my existing Belkin N+ router modem. I wish to have the fastest possible wireless speed obtainable. Range required is no more than twenty or so metres.
Can you advise which is better upgrade? The Belkin Double N+, although discontinued, seems fine and it would enable me to abuse the un-quota'd usage between 12AM-8AM as it has a a BitTorrent client that can download five torrents at once and save them to an attached USB pen drive. I would like to have a router that has such feature.
There is the Netgear WNDR4000 N750 but it would appear the N600 is as fast and noticeably cheaper.
Also open to other brands.
Any recommendations?
