in Credit cards
made a boob and opened barclaycard platinum 0% bal trans for 22mths cos thot i could pay off our car loan with it doh.
so now i really need a card with 0% on purchases as im on maternity leave and now all maternity money stopped. so instead of using my savings will use the 'new' card and pay min amount clearing it at the end of the term and hang onto my cash.
however is it a bad idea for me to now apply for another card having just got the previouse one, which is activated but not used, with a 5k credit limit?
would it be betterif my husband opened one instead or in joint names, or does it make no difference?
in the near future will be doing some stoozing also.
many thanks

If you are not planning on applying for further credit in the near- to medium-term than I don't see any problem in applying to see if your are successful.natstu2005 wrote: »however is it a bad idea for me to now apply for another card having just got the previouse one,
Your husband will have his own credit rating which won't be affected by your recent application. You can't apply for joint card accounts - you can be an additional card holder on an account but it is still in the name of and the responsibility of the applicant.would it be betterif my husband opened one instead or in joint names, or does it make no difference?
Does this still work with fees being close to (or more than) the amount you can earn in savings accounts?in the near future will be doing some stoozing also.loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0
