Laser hair removal treatment on full bikini area?

Hi all,

After my recent nightmare with an ingrown hair (I shave fully), I have this morning woke up too a groupon deal for 6 laser hair removal sessions for £99.

I'm seriously considering doing it once my current ingrown hair bump has calmed down.

I can't stand hair in my bikini region (I know it's natural but so is not wearing mascara and eating modified food, an we all do that!)

I was just wondering if anybody could comment on there experience if they have had it, how many sessions it took, we're there long term results, was it painful, and what part of the body did you have it done in?

The offer is for a place in Birmingham called lasecore.

After my recent disaster and having to have two days off work to possibly get the entire thing lanced, I'm extremely reluctant to shave again. Waxing can cause the same issues, so I need something more permenant.

From what I've heard it can be quite painful. It depends what skin type as well as to what results you get. It used to be also that you couldn't go out in the sun for so many weeks after (wearing a bikini :rotfl:) but this might have changed.

As an alternative, why not just buy a Boots Smooth Skin? I have one and it's great, really works. And it can be used on the bikini area no problem.

    Eeeek £400!

Have you used it in more 'sensitive' area? did it work well? how long did it take for you to become 'hair free'?

Goodness the price has gone up, I didn't see that. They were £250 when I got mine - although I bought it with Boots points so it was free effectively.

Anyhow, yes it is good. I think the manual says you need 10 treatments; in my experience it was more like 15 really. But it's hardly a problem, a quick 15 minutes once a week for a few weeks was well worth it.

Have used it on my bikini area and also underarms. Doesn't hurt, just gives a sort of 'sensation' is the best way I can describe it, but you soon get used to it.

I was going to get around to starting to use it again, for my legs this time. I really must dig it out and do it.

If you don't have enough Boots points, the other advantage of buying this instead of the treatments sessions, is that you can use it for other parts of your body too, should you so wish. And once you're done you can always sell it on eBay and recoup some money.

I may just take your advice! I would love to use this sort of thing everywhere from the neck down, and if it works, I may just do it. Would have to save up for a few months, but sounds like a great idea!

It was the gilette venus razor that seemed to of caused mine. Maybe I had just shaved it the wrong way, but I am now PETRIFIED of it happening again.

Do some searches before buying this, there's been lots of trolls posting ;) how 'good' - I have one and would not recommend it, paid £250 for it, very time consuming, stings and results do not last long. I understand salons use a higher level of laser so may have better results but hair removal is not permanent.

Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I purchased a laser hair removal deal from Groupon also based in Birmingham at a place called Bliss Beauty. I am being treated on my underarms every 6 weeks I am very fair skinned with dark hair I have just had my second out the six treatments and the hair has significantly reduced. The feeling is strange and depends on the intensity of the laser but would liken it to a ping of an elastic band off your skin. I am extremely pleased but like yourself to start with I was hesitant about whether to get laser or not and now I have I am saving to have the rest of my body done!

I can assure you I'm not a troll and don't take kindly to being labelled as one.

I bought the Smooth Skin when it first came out with my Boots points, I figured I had nothing to lose if it wasn't that good. I used it for about 15 sessions as described above and have not used it again since. I can't remember timelines but this was in my old house so at least 3 years ago ifnot longer. I still have no regrowth.

The product doesn't claim to be lifelong, but if in 10 years I need to do it again then I will, it is easy enough to do and I think it is well worth it.

Regarding the pain you mention, I would say it is just a sensation. Certainly nothing to be scared of, or for it to deter anyone from using it.I won't post again on this thread, in my previous post I was trying to help by giving another option along with my opinion having used the product. MSE used to be a friendly place but now you can hardly dare to post for fear if being accused of something.

To the OP, hope you decide what to go for, being hair free is great whichever way you do it!
