Halifax Credit Card Limit

Hi

Ivr just been accepted to the Halifax All In One Credit Card. With representative APR of 23.9%.
However they say my credit limit is 'subject to status'

What is this credit limit likely to be?
I have a very low income (below £9k) and I am a full time student. The application was guarenteed via a link on my web banking page. However they had previously rejected me for the student credit card.
I think I have a high internal score with Halifax as I have nearly 10k of savings, a 2k overdraft in my student current account (which I have grown from £500 over 3 years) and they always ask online for me to upgrade to their top account.

It will be the amount they have said
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

my guess is between £5000 to £9000. Halifax rate you very highly if they see loads of savings.

Well done for getting a CC given your circumstances, although I get the feeling that Halifax are quite an "easy" lender.

Not true it has nothing whatsoever of what you have in your savings never have done and never will.

As a student I got a CC from them the same day as I opened my bank account (not a student CC, just their bog standard card). My limit started at £250, and progressively went up to £3500 within 3 years.

I probably had an income of about £8k a year by that point, and was also building up decent savings with them.

Thanks for the replies guys :)

I was expecting somewhere around £250-£500.

You didn't keep a copy by any chance? Halifax tends to reveal the credit limit in the bottom line of that form. The first number (before the first space) in the long series of digits is your proposed limit.
    Enjoy the silence...
