my partner recently had to pay dwp 30,000 out of a 50,000 damages award from the nhs they did not specify the damages and did not metin if it was for previous loss of earnings so can we claim the money back from dwp.....
did you have a lawyer dealing with the claim, they should have included the amount to be repaid in the settlement. Any sickness benefits that were paid because of the incident would need to be repaid out of the settlement figure. In your case it seems this was £30k for repayment and £20k as compensation....if this was not the intention you need to take it up with your lawyer0
