Holiday inn... When do you pay?

Hi,
We are going to a holiday in tomorrow and as yet no money has been taken out my bank ( well its not showing although my available balance is a few hundred less than the balance iykwim)
Anyway, we originally booked the sat-mon using my card for the 'best flexible rate' we can cancel up to 1pm Saturday
We then decided to go on Friday so booked that night using the best flexible rate again but my mum has paid for this on her card details , she isn't coming with us.
So my question is,in a nutshell lol
When do they take the money and will they take it from the cards it was booked with or the cards we have on us?
Thanks x

Flex rate you pay on departure, they will take per auth on arrival.

They don't take it at booking as you can still canc

Will be card you have with you
  • As already mentioned, Best Flexible rates are paid for on checking out.

One piece of advise for future, if you book BF to secure a room might then be worth looking the day before to see if there are better rates available, by this time you'll know that you are definately going and with BF you can cancel on the day without losing the cost of the booking.

Another suggestion is to check cashback sites, at the minute Quidco are offering 12% cashback on IHG bookings you could use this route to reduce the cost of the stay.

    have a great break.
    Keep smiling,

    Gary:rotfl:
