A couple of months ago I transferred my entire iTunes library to my Apple Time Capsule as my movie files totalled more than what could fit on my MacBooks HDD. I now have no use for the movie files to be on my laptop so I want to move my music, apps, books etc back to my MacBook. I want to completely start from scratch with this but I seem to be hitting a little problem. Whenever I open iTunes it looks for the library on the Time Capsule before eventually saying that it can't be found and then giving me the option to create a new one. I DO NOT want to create a new one. If I was to buy a new MacBook tomorrow or format this one tonight iTunes would allow me to open it so I could go from there. How do I go about resetting iTunes so I can do this?

Im no expert on Apples rubbish, but dont you have to reset the library directories to do this ? Might it be easier to find another bit of software to manage the macbook and use that instead?
Thats the problem with all Apple stuff, its designed to hold the hands of the average thick technophobe chav, who doesnt know what they doing. if you try and do something its not programmed to do it wriggles and writhes and protests and does everything its can to stop you.**** I hereby relieve MSE of all legal responsibility for my post and assume personal responsible for all posts.
