Hi Everyone,
I just thought I'd post this as I'm in bit of a panic at moment!
i was driving home today and i know this is bad and this is first time i've done it, my phone rang and i picked it up to glance at it and when i looked up a police van went past me in the opposite direction.
He didnt turn around or follow me though... question is can they still fine me or send me a letter or something?
I am so ashamed as never been in trouble before and I never use my phone only if I park up somewhere
Help!!

You'll be okay. If they wanted to 'do' you, they'd have pulled you over. Assuming it's a normal Police van, it probably won't have video equipment on board as Traffic Cars do, therefore sending you a FPN (could they for a phone FPN anyway?) would be in vain as anybody could have been driving the car!Hi Everyone,

Not worth their time and hassle chasing you over it now0 -
phew thank you! it was only a small like ford connect van thing like a panda van...
i was worrying so much as like i say I never ever even look at my phone0 -
It's a good idea to put your phone somewhere you cant get at it when your driving, or better still just switch it off. The sky wont fall in or anything and it could save your life never mind about a fine.Hi Ho Silver Awayyyyyyyyyy0

Yeah right. Don't believe a word of it. I used to hear people saying things like that all the time when I was a CEO for a parking dept - "Never done it before officer" yet you'd seen them the day before doing the same thing.
Seriously, stop risking other peoples lives. Shove the phone in your pocket and leave it there.0
