  • This is what i'm worried about. she has tried telling them she can only afford say £5 per week but they have said that's not enough and are not accepting this. I think writing her SOA down yesterday made her realise how much she was spending on non essentials so i can see this changing....

    TBH I'm not surprised they won't accept £5 / week - although it may be all that she *thinks* she can afford, if she's spending amounts equivalent to £100 / month on Christmas, £70 on clothes, £400 on groceries , £115 on mobiles etc etc then I'm afraid it won't be viewed that way.

    Hopefully seeing it in black and white will have made it hit home that there is room to make some cuts and they'll be able to agree a reasonable repayment plan.

    Hi, they basically said that they will deal with her over the phone only and if she agrees she won't be able to seek legal aid anywhere else:eek: so she said no thankyou and is going to wait until the 12th to see someone at the welfare place.
