Firefox 12 update?

After loads of reminders my Firefox now says it will update automatically - but when I looked at doing this myself I was concerned that it said I would have to disable AVG Safe Search. Does that matter? Will I have to upgrade my AVG?
(Hate tampering with the computer whilst it's all working fine!)

You might have to upgrade AVG, but there's no real way of telling until you actually upgrade!

I'm not against upgrades, especially when it comes to my online security. Updates often fix security holes and increase performance. This might come at the price of a small learning curve - but if it makes you more secure, that's a small price really.

I'd be more worried about using an outdated, insecure version of Firefox for 5 weeks now. Update it and be ready for Firefox 13 due out next week.
AVG safe search can be replaced by WOT until AVG get their act together.

I've installed Windows 7 and Firefox 12 on a Virtual Machine. I then installed the trial of AVG Internet Security 2012, and confirm it definitely does have a AVG Safe Search plugin for Firefox.
