Exactly the same for me, I don't want to give all my details before getting a quote. That is why energyhelpline is by far the easiest to use.
With the UK Power comparison site, providing an email address is voluntary. Having provided it, however, they sent me a link which I can use to get a new comparison, based on my details, at any time. Towards the end of my contracts, I use this facility frequently.

I gave my email address to Compare the Market and I'm now up to my neck in Merekats. Could be worse had I gone to Compare the Captains and be up to my neck in Tribbles.

I always use disposable or temporary email addresses for this kind of thing. I don't get spam emails from UK Power but if I did then I could just delete the email account.
