Yosemite - By air from SF?

Hi,
Does anyone know of a day tour from San Francisco to Yosemite by air? Ive seen lots of bus tours but as we're going to be traveling a lot, we'd prefer to fly there if possible.
I have Googled it and not found anything. If anyone knows of a day trip there by helicopter or plane id be really grateful to hear from you.
Thanks
JC

The problem is that the nearest airports to Yosemite are still about 1.5 hours away, and last time I was in Yosemite I didn't spot any commercial helicopter pads, and the helicopters seemed to be all rescue helecopters.
There's a train tour.. http://www.sanfranshuttletours.com/yosemite_train_tours.html?gclid=CPCrlbfrqrACFSYhtAodaG5KVg0 -
Thanks Kittykarate, we will have a think about that, could be a good option.kittykarate wrote: »The problem is that the nearest airports to Yosemite are still about 1.5 hours away, and last time I was in Yosemite I didn't spot any commercial helicopter pads, and the helicopters seemed to be all rescue helecopters.0

When I visited Yosemite a few years ago I took a train from San Francisco and then had to transfer to a coach which took me into the centre of the park. As far as I am aware there is no commercial air link to the park.0

I think it's Mariposa that has an airport that classes itself as Yosemite Airport but as the others have said you are still some distance away.
Amtrak do trips there...

(take out the spaces I am not allowed to post links!)
We did it by car, in a day for friends when they were visiting, we probably had an hour head start on SF from where we lived and it's a long day but worth it!0 -

Mariposa-Yosemite Airport and Mammoth-Yosemite Airport both jump on the Yosemite name bandwagon, but there is a smaller airport right on the doorstep. Pine Mountain Lake Airport (and Columbia airport is also relatively close.)0
