Cheap flight to Izmir needed

Hi I am flying out to Izmir in July for a week 1-8 July, and the only flights I can find are almost £300

I have been using skyscanner and Pegasus websites.

If anyone can suggest an alternative such as a lastminute holiday package site i will try it.

the best way to do it is look at thomas cook and get a one way ticket-i live in İzmir!

Thomas Cook dont fly there except Wed which doesnt suit my arrangements. And its £127 each way before luggage etc!

have you tried looking at TC from dalaman and doing a bus transfer in turkey--i did it last summer because the flight took me close to my home in the uk

If I fly to Dalaman what bus will take me towards Izmir? I would need to arrive in the morning, to be sure of connecting buses I imagine.

Where are you?.. Turkish Airlines have a new service from Edinburgh starting mid-July, I am not sure if they are even on the scanners yet.

Dalaman to Izmir would take about 6 hours on a bus, maybe 4 hours by car! Bodrum to Izmir is closer, about 3 hours, or fly to Istanbul and get a domestic flight to Izmir.

Yeah, Dalaman is not useful as there are too many connections needed.

I fly from any London airport. I can see easyjet flies to Izmir, and I will just have to bear the cost as its very convenient.

Unless I get a cheap last minute holiday flying into Izmir. But that does not seem likely with my dates.

i could get direct to my home town in the uk and avoid about 5 hours coach travel in the uk which costs a lot more.the planes tend to go to london airports and i am in Bournemouth.

I got a flight for £142 from Travel Republic flying gatwick - Izmir on 27 June - rtn Izmir-LGW 4 July.

Its a charter Thomas Cook and their site doesnt sell the return flight, only a outgoing flight for £127
