Cahoot Missing cheques

I pay cheques into my Cahoot Account, via the post office, and receive a time and dated receipt.
Three times the cheques have gone missing. Cahoot claim that it is the fault of the post office. I pointed out that the cheques had been paid in at three different post offices. The post office say they can do nothing about it as they also have a receipt proving that they have passed the post on through the usual channels.
Both just suggest getting the cheques cancelled and reissued.
One post office suggested using my other high street account to pay into, and transfering the money into the Cahoot account.
Who is responsible??
I joined Cahoot , because some years ago they paid a reasonable amount of interest on current accounts. Now there are no advantages.
As soon as this mess is sorted out I shall close the account.
Does any one else have this trouble with an internet only account?

Difficult to say who is responsible, depends at which point the cheques have actually got lost. Cheques do sometimes go missing in clearing and the only solution is to have them reissued.

This can happen even if you pay in at a high street bank, although it is quite rare.
