defo a celariac.
you can use it sliced roasted and have it with a med. style dish with chicken (or whatever) herbs like thyme, oregano, parsley, garlic, sugar, tin tomatoes, bit of sherry, bit of sugar s&p and bake in the oven for about 1hr. take off foil last 15mins.
or make a celariac remoulade which is like a posh coleslaw...
i grew it on the lotti last year for the first time and it was v tangly the outside rooty bits.. bit of pain to grow as they need v fine soil with no stones but they do grow quite big if conditions are right.0 -
Thanks for the further replies. Yesterday, I was considering that the root veg is taro or a form of taro (eddoe) which is often served in India. Also, I read that they are often referred to as elephant ears when grown as an ornamental plant.0
