Hi, do these look like celeriac? The greengrocer gave me some various unwanted items and these were included. (Will not be passing for awhile to ask). The opened one appears tough and dry so maybe tasteless anyway? Thanks.

It's most definitely a root-veg and looks like celeriac to me. Does it have a vague fennel/licorice sort of scent? Parsnip and celeriac bake: yummy0

It looks like an eddoe to me. How big is it?0

Hi, thanks for the replies. Just asked somebody who hates the smell of celery and they think not. In fact, no smell at all to them or me. However, another one opened is fresher and they think it smells like mild turnip (if anything).
The pictured item came from a greengrocers who also sells produce from India, Pakistan etc. if that might help.0 -
It's not an eddoe.
I'm not sure that it's a celeriac, though. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -

Biggest - 8cm length and 6.5cm across.
Smallest - 5cm length and 3cm across.
More rounded one - 4cm length and 4.5cm across.

I think I've found it!
If so, it's a taro. No, I hadn't heard of it, either.
