Jet wash where?

Not really MSE as I want to spend money if I was saving I would get a sponge out.

Does anyone know of how to locate a filling station or anywhere else that has a jet wash as opposed to an automatic car wash. In the current blight of garages going belly up, they seem to be getting rarer than rocking horse poo.

I have a convertible and dont what to damage the hood in an auto jobby. Its brand new and my first soft top for a few years, used to be loads of jet washes when I last had one.

If you happen to be in Bristol and know of one please post, or if you know of a garage chain who use them. Otherwise I may have to resort to getting wet myself. Not even any handwash businesses round here, just a ton of over priced mobile valet firms runs by inbreds I wouldn't trust with a pencil never mind a £30k car.

A lot of the Morrisons petrol stations where I live seem to have jet washes.

30p a minute I think as well so pretty good value.

If you have a 30k car, surely you can find some sort of premium valet service which specialises in prestige cars and pay the associated costs to someone who can do the job well?! Rather than DIY, or machines.

Yes I am sure I could but I dont want to pay an absolute fortune for a bit of soap and water, I want it clean not good enough to eat your dinner off.

I cant use an auto carwash because of the soft top. And I dont want to do it myself for various reasons but mainly as I live in a flat and the car isnt parked close to my door, so I would be carting water about the place and I dont fancy the hard work.

I might have a nice car but I still dont believe in wasting money a jetwash once a fortnight costing a fiver is good enough for a nice clean car.

. Whatever you do,DO NOT use the supplied brush to wash the car, it will scratch, i had a Honda s2000, used the Jetwashes but carried a sponge and decent car shampoo (Autoglym, Meguires etc).
Start at the top and work your way down, this way you are not collecting road grit from the sills etc and then soaping(and scratching ) the rest of the car, takes longer i'll admit but better than a scratch or three.
