Does checking my credit references get recorded

I've just started using 0% offers on credit cards after Capital One Circle Rebate reduced me from 1% to 0.5%.

I've got a couple of cards, but while I wait a little before I apply for another, I thought I'd check my records with Experian and Equifax for £2 each, as I haven't done this for a few years.

My question is, when I request this information, does that request itself get recorded?
I guess some other people here have done this more than once, and might have seen or not seen their own previous request recorded when they check a second time.

Thanks in advance for any information. :)
