Thursday 31st May - What small DFW things will you do today??!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important!

Good morning all,
I'm feeling quite positive today. Had a little whinge at OH last night (bless his heart) and have put things back into perspective. I know the debt is bad, but with his support and (most importantly - but dont tell him) I reckon I can kick this thing by Autumn.
Today's grand scheme:
* Work!
* See if there is any chance of some overtime
* Find loan statement and give them a call about overpaying it - once CC is paid off I want to plow all that then spare money into paying off the loan, I know there is an early exit fee but if it's not too bad might be better long run??
* Another load of washing in the machine, always on 30
* Maybe drag OH to a garden centre for some bargain plants for the planters outside the front door
* Have a look this evening on PPH for some work (thanks for the suggestion 925pws)
* Try and relax this evening!!
Have a good one all

Morning sunshine, thanks for starting us off! Glad to hear you're feeling brighter today. Sometimes it feels wicked to be slaying the debt, your cutting corners, getting deals, making small sacrifices and its a buzz watching the numbers going down. Morning all, and thanks to Sunshine for staring us off today.
I've swapped my day off this week as it's my elderly next-door neighbour's funeral today. She was really happy to have lived well past her "three score years and ten" so this will be a celebration and the whole family seem really jolly about it. The rest of the day will be spent in the sewing-room as if it were Friday.
My list for today so far then:- HM granola for breakfast
- fed and watered the chickens and asked for at least three eggs today
- checked banking
- checked for surveys
- meter readings entered online
I will also:- finish my own corset to wear on Monday
- start order from customer - already paid I just need to get on with it now
- phone insurance company re claim I put in weeks ago when our watertank overflowed and drenched the whole house
- keep an eye on surveys
- walk to village church for service and NOT take the car
- all meals from stores
- have an NSD
I think that's plenty for a 'day off' so I better get off the laptop and get on with my day. Have a good one folks.....

Morning all!
Thanks to Sunshine for starting us off. I'm glad you're feeling happier today, I did lurk quickly yesterday and saw that you weren't having the best day. You have absolutely hammered your debt from looking at your sig, so be proud! Not long now
My list today is as follows:
Keep tracking overtime (107.67 hours )
Charge phone in work
More free tea/coffee (and possibly cake - there has been 3 birthdays this week)
I have cancelled my graze boxes. It will only save £15 a month (ish) but cannot possibly justify it.
Go beserk if I get screened out of onepoll AGAIN. That last 5p is driving me bonkers. YES I am married NO I don't have children and oh what a suprise, this survey is not for me. I AM A VALID DEMOGRAPHIC! I HAVE OPINIONS TOO! DAMN YOU ONEPOLL!

Stitchy good morning. Hope the funeral is indeed a celebration of life. Where are you going on Monday to wear your corset? Sorry I'm nosey
Our village is having a Jubilee 1950's party on the playing field on Monday. This corset is a simple white underbust one to wear underneath a 1950's dress I've made from a Vintage Vogue pattern. I've managed to borrow some authentic 1950's petticoats and I want to take a couple of inches off my waist to give the right outline. Sadly it will be one of the only corsets I've made that won't actually be seen by anyoneMaking magic with fabricLight travels faster than sound.
