Morning all, late up today as first day of my 11 day break, although don't know how much rest I'll get. I have a messy house, garage and garden to sort and 23 reports to write
Dull and overcast here today but dry so far. Have to go to L**dl for dog food, they did not have the big bags yesterday. Very embarrassed in there yesterday as the electronic tag thing on something I bought had not been wiped and I kept setting the alarms off. Horrible with everyone looking at me. I offered to let them search my handbag but they declined. Will just go in clutching my debit card and car keys today.
Glad you conquered the shed of doom Tru and hope you get your daughter's hours sorted. Hugs to all who need them, have a good day all :)

Evening all(well it is where i am!)

Today has been uneventful and little has been acheived, i have decided that my wife doesnt like talking to me at work! she chit chats with all the girls but as soon as i ask a question she is too busy and sharpe--i suspose 24/7 is too much of a good thing!

İ was assessing my options in life for my retirement and i got to thinking about retiring to the İOW and down scaling to a flat in an over 60s complex. Then i remembered we have island girl on this thread!--i must quiz her! or anyone who has any info about these types of properties?
İ dont finish work til 7,30 tonight and then i will be having another vegetarian surprise for dinner--i feel better for my healthier diet and no drinking.---i really want to live my full span!!

Hope you've all got your day's work done and are feeling good!?

    Hi Guys!

Things have been hectic here and am awaiting new treatment (hopefully) at home with a view to operate in the next 2-3 months, so on total bed rest still as it carries huge risks. Have been to and fro hospital whilst they decide what the next step is and just awaiting the call to go in for a special line put in which will go into the heart area again.

Must be mad but have also agreed niece to stay next week as we now have split her care 3ways in the holidays. She's promised to be on her best behaviour and will keep out the way of the nurses, cables and tubes:eek::eek::eek:

DD decided 2 weeks ago to send out 3 letters she wrote about herself along with her GCSE grades, other qualifications, interests, current college diploma etc to local big companies she wouldn't mind working at part-time. She stuck a little photo on the top along with her work experience reference which is glowing. Anyway, someone she knew laughed at her and said theres no vacancies at one of them and they only keep CV's for 2 months then throw them away, so said not to bother. She did bother and guess who's got an interview next week:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:j:j:j:j......the store manager called her and said how impressed she was at how DD had done something different and not just sent her CV in. She's asked her to fill in the application and give it to her when she has the interview. Even if she's not what they're looking for, she's done well off her own back. She surprises me so much some days, then other days I swear she's a bit eccentric:rotfl:

OH has had a lot of work on and is trying to make the garden more assessable for me. A kind lady round the corner may have some bricks for us.

Anyway, I thought id say hello and say thanks to kind people who PM'd me.

    Take care.

Evening all (I always get the urge to bend my knees like Dixon when I write that:):))Well the boys have a school Jubilee party tomorrow and its Mikey's 8th birthday as well and he is so excited tonight.DD and I clubbed together and we have bought him a trampoline for the garden and I think he will explode when he knows what he's getting. His next brother up is 11 on Sunday so its a very busy Jubilee week-end with the two boys birthdays so close together.Eldest DD just dropped in with their presents as she has to work late tomorrow as its the start of a new month and she has a week off next week (She is a school manager for a special-needs school)
She had to see a consultant on Wednesday as her 'plumbing and undercarriage ' is in a state.Apparently after her biopsy she was told she has a two cm thick lining in her womb(endiometriosis) and she's got to have everything out including her ovaries ,probably around September, but at least she was told that its benign, although its like history repeating itself as I had the same problem 30 years ago and had the same op.Prevention is the watchword at least, and hopefully its been caught in plenty of time.being her Mum its a dreadful worry though.
Well first of June tomorrow and half the year is almost gone .where does the time fly to I wonder.
The forecast isn't brilliant for Sunday but I do hope that anyone who is celebrating the Jubilee has a great day.Its lovely to see how nice and cheerful all the bunting is looking .I am a dyed-in-the wool Royalist I'm afraid and have nothing but the greatest respect for HM
Bless her I hope I will be as on the ball when I get to 86.I was aying to the boys that this is probably the only Diamond Jubilee that they will see, even in their lifetimes. As Charles will hopefully be quite aged before he becomes King and Prince William will probably be in his 50s at least, so we have to make the most of this weekend it won't come again for many years
I'm off to bed for a read so, good night God Bless all here
    JackieO xx
