Duplicating a leaflet ... help please

HI

I want to make about 40 duplicate copies of a double sided leaflet.
The leaflet is black ink only.
I would like thickish, good quality paper about 120 - 150

Now, this is the question....
Is it better to photocopy the leaflet
or
Have it printed?

Would the print quality be very different?
What is the thickest paper I can photocopy on?
Do I have to use special photocopying paper or will any do??

    Is it your leaflet?

Otherwise there could well be copyright issues.

To be honest, professional printing would look better and the quality would look more 'top-notch', but for a run of 40, I would expect it to be fairly expensive, if a printer will do such a small batch.

Might be worth asking a small local printer (similar to prontaprint) to see if they can do a small batch, or if they have a high-quality photocopier they can do it on for you.

What do you need it for? is it to advertise your business? if so don't scrimp on quality, if you only need 40 sounds more like club/social so home printer should be fine?

Would it not be possible to get the document into Word, or similar, and reprint? Most printers can take card upto 250g/m, so that wouldn't be the problem.

If its an order of service a home photocopy would look cheap IMO.

I have cobbled together something on Microsoft Publisher.

Do you mean reprint at home or at a printing shop?

We need it for tomorrow morning.

I went to Staples yesterday, they will print it from memory stick but they don't have the prefered coloured paper. It also has to be in PDF format ????

    I am muddling through

    thanks

Try a local stationers rather than a national chain. If you can run off a decent copy of each page on ordinary paper they should be able to print double sided for you on heavy duty stock.

  • For best quality I would suggest you use a print service.

Do you have a budget? There are loads of online services which you can email or design online and they will deliver within a couple of days.

If the Publisher document printed using yr printer's fine setting looks good, and you're happy with that, why not just print 40 copies from the Publisher, or am I missing something?

I assume you have got (or know where to get) the paper/card in the colour required?
