Halifax Reward Current Account - Do I need to switch

Options
Hi All,

I couldn't find this piece of information on their website: in order to get the £5 reward, in addition to paying in at least £1000 per month, would I also need to "switch"?

When I spoke to customer service earlier, they didn't mention anything about switching, but I didn't ask explicitly.

No, you don't. Either the (free) Reward or the (£15/mth) Ultimate Reward account will give you the £5, so long as you credit £1000 the previous month. No switch required.

    Thanks for the answers.

I just got a Clarity Card so I'm thinking of opening a bank account to get £10 a month.

The website needs updating by the way. Here it says: "To get the monthly payment you must use its switching service."

The gory detail is in this Halifax document.

Top of page 34 describes the conditions for receiving £5/month.
