PPI requesting Terms and conditions from lenders

Hello,

I sent the template letter provided on here to my store card and credit card lenders at the beginning of the May requesting my terms and conditions (with the suggested £1 cheque included) I still haven't received any reply from the 3 requests I sent (to different lenders) or any acknowledgement of my request. I was under the impression that I had to receive a response within 10 working days or they break some kind of industry agreement/get penalised by their regulator?

Is there any action I can take as they have not bothered to respond to my request?

Sorry for stating the obvious but have you tried to ring them? did you send the letters recorded delivery?

Hello, yes tried to ring them, but just get through to their main customer line and they advise to send the request in in writing or don't have a clue what i need to do or who i need to speak to.

unfortunately didn't send them recorded delivery

Has the £1 cheque been banked? Are they active accounts? If they are closed accounts the £1 route will not work.

If they are closed you will need to use the £10 SAR route.

Sending stuff first class signed for isnt that much at all. Maybe £1-£2 depending on the item.

they're all still active accounts and non of the £1 cheques have been cashed yet.

guess the best thing to do would be send them again, but recorded delivery, just a pain to have to do it again! thank you

Make sure you cancel the old cheques you sent as well.

And I presume you want copies of the terms and conditions to see if PPI was potentially missold to you.?

yes, that's right, just to confirm that there was actually PPI on there!

If they are credit cards and store cards and still active PPI should be detailed on the statements.
